i dunno why some guys are crazy enough to bring their x & present gfs together thinking theyd be friends. Noble. But really, irl, it could be disastrous.
a recent x did just that.
we have been friends even before we had a thing so after we broke up, it wasnt hard to actually be friends again. his new girl is in the same class as ours. i know her though were not really that close. when i found out that he was going out with her, i admit, i was a bit jealous, but then again, i realized that he has to move on right? *grins*
going back to my story. he texted me saying that he's at the mall looking for company. naturally, i told him to bugger off and text his gf instead, he said she wasnt replying daw. he said he was bored and just wants to hang out, blah blah. so i thought, wth, were friends anyways, i dont see anything wrong hanging out with him. its not like were hooking up again... so i went. only to find out that she was there as well and it was her idea getting together. i mean, wtf? what does she want to do? compare notes? she said she doesnt want me to have any hurt feelings daw. who said i do? am i required to be friends with her just because my x and i are still friends? i do hang out with a lot of people but when it comes to those i consider friends, im picky.
i just stayed a few mins, had coffee and made up some alibi about meeting someone else, then left. then she texted me saying that i was distant daw, and that baka galit ako sa kaniya. i gave her a piece of my mind... that i dont want to be a hypocrite and act like were long lost buddies just because shes the flavor of the month. being the present gf of my ex does not require us to be friends. and in the first place, she should make an effort to be friends with all of us in our small little clique, not just me. she can start by hanging out with us. then we'll take it from there.
i wasnt being a bitch naman diba?

I know what it's like to be on the other side.
I'm very good friends with two of my boyfriend's exes. Even after having a big conflict with one of them.
But it only works if both ladies want to be friends, and are willing to work out issues (if there are any). As you said, friendship is not necessary. In my case, I believe I don't lose anything (in fact I gain a lot) by making friends, and the others involved had a similar mindset. I'm very lucky. :)

feanne, i admit, i was surprised to know that they were going out so soon. he said someone else likes him naman daw, so he doesnt see the reason to mope. in fairness to him, when we were together, nah, he wasnt a player naman.

I understand how annoyed you'd be though when you go there and find out you were deceived... I find it annoying that the guy pretended he just wanted to hang out... parang feeling mo tuloy it's a trap or something. I'd be annoyed too! I'd prefer if they were straightforward instead, as in, "hi, I'm ______'s girlfriend, I'd like to meet you, if you have some free time soon, would you like to meet up and chat?" at least you know what to expect.

we actually know each other naman. its just that she has her own circle of friends and we dont really hang out. it felt awkward being there. we just broke up a week ago and now he's with her. and no theyre not just going out, sila na daw, according to the gurl. it was even she who approached me 2 days ago after class to tell me, with all smiles, na sila na. i just smiled and congrutulated her. i asked the guy and he confirmed. they sure dont waste time. napaparanoid tuloy ako if they were already seeing each other when we were still together, or ewan. hehe. nyways. ayoko ng isipin pa yun. tapos na, ayoko ng balikan. bahala na sila sa mga buhay nila.
