i think we should run a daily (or even hourly for those who are web-glued) medal count. and maybe link highlights for those who like blow-by-blow accounts.

I was glued on the office television a few minutes ago and witnessed what could be the best display of athleticism on track and field to date. The men's 4 x 100 ruled over by Jamaica with Bolt and Powell at the last half. I believe there's nothing more exciting than 4 x 100 on track, the individual races just don't scratch the surface of this team effort. Anything could happen, just look at the Jamaican women team botching it up. 4 x 100 should be timed to perfection and the race just left me agape, all that and beating the world record places the Jamaican men team the best 4 x 100 track team ever.
I would like to think the Beijing Olympics should be remembered by the names Phelps and Bolt, and not for the controversies it has been having lately.
The Jamaican team was just poetry in motion, figuratively and literally.
