Although it's now seldom that I switch my TV to this channel, and prefer the other station for my morning viewing, the rare times that I watch the morning news interviews on this network always gets my blood boiling.
Why?
Because I think these newsmen do not deserve an iota of respect from persons they get to interview on issues
I don't know how they were taught to conduct interviews during their student days, but what they are doing to their phone interviewees puts their elders to shame. I'm strongly convinced it's a matter of common decency, of not passing judgement on your interviewee minutes after very nicely, asking for their side of the news. It's matter of fair play to not airing your opinions on that person, after you have cut him or her off the air, and especially if another person of an opposite opinion is sitting with you in the studio.
If you were a newsman, what would that make you if you keep on doing that, as matter of style or habit? If you were that kind of newsman, how would you feel if I labeled you, in my own trying-hard-to-be-objective opinion as: Apathetic, back-stabbing, cocksucking bully n******s? (I need help on the n part)
Yes, it would not make me any different than you are, except that I'm giving you a chance to defend yourself. Take some time off on your Facebook or Friendster, or whatever it is you log in to, and try justifying your actions here, registration is free.

not forgetting media folks are just puppets its a ratings game. Believe me once you start questioning what you see and read in the media and get pass the BullS*it there feeding you its easy to see the world economy is heading south at the moment. question everything, be cynical, be skeptical, wake up and see how almost everything in the media is bullS*it.

@angtipaklong: no disagreement regarding that. But you should point out s*it to people when you see it so that no one accidentally steps on it or mistakes it for chocolate.
I may be a futile gesture, but in this world and age, gestures are all we got. Nothing's more life-affirming than fighting fire with everything you got...fire, water, earth, wind, blood, piss, semen.....

@CntClapper - not as futile as you think , over here for example, when the people had enough of being bullied by the govt we simply voted to change it, that's one of the beauty of our political system here is that the people's voice can still be heard, its not perfect but its a better system than back home.

Why are there just too many journalists killed here in the PI? Why is there no one pointing out the possibility that some of them may have got what's coming to them?
I'm guessing you're particularly irked with the morning show that greets their interviewees with such a welcoming line and then just traps them like a spider to a fly? :D
It's no secret that I don't particularly like reporters.

i'd rather read the broadsheets

@sorenkant: at least tulfo has the flowery balls, er, tounge, to say it to his interviewees, while they have the chance to defend themselves, which is a tad more decent than what those nincompoops I'm talking about do.
@spidamang: mismo!

they (reporters) can't be factual anymore when they have already settled their belief, then they interview the poor guy and corner him/her with very uncalled for interrogation techniques. dng

nincompoops..
i prefer reading newspapers than watching news because those reporters and news anchors irritates me with their wrong grammar, diction, presence, and their whole being.

skip the news part.. just wait for the showbiz part of Ogie Diaz with his infamous Locomotion dance craze.. that will surely brighten up your day.. :D
better yet, just listen to the morning radio programs.. i highly recommend Dos por Dos(DZMM) of Jerry Baja and Anthony Taberna.. sila ung mga "banat-sabay-kambyo" commentators.. they may irritate the hell out of you but they will always find a way to soothe you afterwards.. mas ok na sila kesa dun sa mga "banat lang pero walang kambyo at haplos pagkatapos".. hehehe
