Another movie based on the novel penned by Nicholas Sparks. Will this be another tear-jerker comparable to the prior stories: Message In A Bottle, A Walk to Remember, and The Notebook?
Imho, Diane Lane and Richard Gere team-up is not a good one. The "chemistry" is not there, unlike, uhm, Raymond Burr and Barbara Hale. The tandem had the "kilig factor" which started in 1957 during the Perry Mason TV series until in their old age in the Perry Mason telefilms in 1985.
Maybe it's Richard Gere's gayness that prevents me from seeing that certain something in the tandem. Or the fact that even the way he kisses his leading ladies were not passionate enough to arouse that thick, almost honey like, feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Going back to the movie, who will die this time?
