I couldn't quite decide whether to place this in "Geeky" or in "Cool". It's geeky because the interface is so darned slick, it's a Web 2.0 (or 3.0?) wet dream. Maybe only web design nerds like me can relate-- but I can't let this post go without commenting on muxtape's big beautiful typography, content-driven structure, and striking simplicity. I think that Luis, at least, will understand.
But I ended up posting this under "Cool" because everyone will like it.
Muxtape is a simple way to create and share mp3 mixtapes. The front page lists a random bunch of mixtapes each time you load it. Click on a mixtape title to load it.
Each mixtape is a Flash-powered listing of songs. Click on a song to load and play it. Click again to pause. The webpage title shown in the browser title bar changes to tell you which song is currently playing (if no song is playing, it just shows the mixtape URL).

And, you "can't" download songs from muxtape. Unless you can figure out (or Google) the browser cache trick. ;)

Just something I discovered today-- muxtape's incompatible with the Firefox extension "AdBlock"... muxtape blog says they're aware of this bug and working to fix it.
