History of the Microwave-Cooked Instant Noodles:

First of all I would like to apologize for my poor English language and accent, but our research department is already working on it.

I'm a lazy bastard and our kitchen was 100 paces away from our living room but our MIcrowave was inside the living room. I saw my grandfather cook a Lucky Me! Instant Mami on a Microwave and I thought I could do this on Lucky Me! Pancit Canton and it worked!

New Findings:

But it came the time that I also got lazy draining the water so after years of experience (3 years) I came up with a technique that you don't have to drain the water. But it's very hard to master, I'll release the video once I a have a full-proof that it can be applied to any instant noodles.

History of the VIDEO:

It was a BORING new year and I suddenly had the urge to do something and it's to teach people how to cook INSTANT NOODLES on a Microwave Oven.

Important Notes:

1.) The water to be poured on the bowl should be HOT
2.) If hot water is not available add another 2 to 3 minutes
3.) 4 minutes + 3 minutes = 7 minutes WITHOUT hot water

on Cooking PAYLESS XL

1.) set the timer to 7:45 minutes WITHOUT hot water
2.) set the timer to 4:45 minutes WITH hot water

A suggestion on how to separate the noodles from the water since you mentioned the containing bowl is hot - just get a drainer and scoop the noodles out. I mean the strands of noodles are still conjoined together right? And it's a waste of plates to.

And hot water can already be enough for the noodles, correct? It's the principle used on cup noodles. Well, if it's to utilize the microwave oven then why not? But 7:45 minutes without hot water? I can be hungry at that time. Better cooking it via stove.

@toodles: Unfortunately at that time, any draining utensils weren't available so just like Bear Grylls of Man v.s. Wild I would usually apply the idea "The Nature Provides" and just devised something that would drain the water. (as if it was shot live)

Btw, this is just for people who don't want to use the stove or just in case you're watching something and you don't want to leave something cooking.

You can also cook Tocino and Ready-to-Cook soups maybe I'll share those next time.

if you didn't crush the noodles prior to heating them, you can use two forks instead to transfer the noodles into another bowl. oh yeah, since the carinderia below started to refuse 1 cup rice deliveries last month, i was able to experiment with microwaved rice. if timed properly you'll always get a perfect steamed rice. this is great for all you sushi eating people who just have a microwave and a fridge at your pad.

the hot water alone can cook the noodles, you just need to cover the bowl for 5 mins and you're done. covering for a long time can overcook the noodles and will result in a yucky canton. worked a lot for me especially in office when i'm craving for a nissin instant yakisoba \m/
