Late na tayo sa nyon gagi. tara

i'm quite lucky to live in city that hosts europe's biggest annual car show in terms manufacturer street debut. it's summer and the swiss have taken out their summer cars for a roll, my bike ride from work to school is littered with bentley coupes, a diablo or two, that daily enzo parked along rue de lausanne, schumi's beasts, db7s and db9s, that maserati in front of the ICC, that dork with a veyron, audi r8 cloneheads, that gallardo superleggera caught doing 170kph in a 40kph city zone, etc.
today was different. an actual alfa romeo 8c competizione laid out before me in a different glory that made my jaw drop. now, i'm not easily awed by supercars. it's not my bag and i had my share of exotic cars when father used to drag me along on his car reviews. but this one, in black, is probably the most beautiful car to date.
although i took pictures of it and posted it my blog during march's motorshow event, i wasn't that much impressed, indoor lights and all. the ferrari/maserati derived (i remember 4.2) 4.7-liter v8 engine producing (420?) 450 bhp is less than impressive. 0-4.2sec and 186mph top speed is pedestrian these days, but still, the beast is a beauty. short as a ferrari daytona, sculpted like the enzo, bevelled like a porsche gt3, revs like a solid non-whiny f1 racer.
and they will come out in silver next year. it's one for the car enthusiast's wall, but i don't collect posters, i see them on the streets with pricks behind the wheel. ;p
my current crush is still the tiny fiat cinquecento abarth.
