  ^ Of course not genius. Lol. It's just that, more kids find it "bad ass" to listen to their music because of their masks and their growls. Like, a kid back in my highschool, I was talking to him because he was asking me to teach him to play guitar and when I asked him who his favorite band was he replied "Slipknot pare!" and when I asked sino pa he replied "Uhm, Slipknot lang talga pinakikingan ko" lol

  But don't get me wrong, they're an ok band to me, I like some of their songs but to say Metallica is rock music for gramps is just plain stupid becuase at their age today, they're still rocking out. Oh and for the record, Slipknot will never be half as good as those old guys, despite their age now. Peace out.

  I personally like this band because all of their albums are so different from each other, I mean the intensity and anger will always be there but how each song is played will always be different from the other. correct me if i'm wrong but can you give me songs of them that sounds alike? and of course the fact that their personalities are very much different with their masks off.

  @chris: it's not about the masks, it's all about the music. i personally think that if you take 1 single member out, the music will never sound the same as the music of the 9. the 2 power drums are significant to the band, w/o the 2 power drums the music will never sound as tribal as it sounds. joey can not provide that sound alone, he's just the one who controls the drum tempo. double peds will never sound like much as double peds + 2 guys playing 2 power drums each = 6 base shit!

  @minor: yeah #1 good, but my drum hero will still be travis barker.
