  Guys there is something that came to my mind just now. Is Gordon's wife named Barbara Gordon? I'm a little confused here. Maybe I need t owatch again the movie becuase I didn't got that detail. i checked IMDB and Barbara Gordon is played by a certain Melinda McGraw, Can anyone shed a light for me.

  Yup, that was his first wife Barbara Gordon, they were divorced and he later married Sarah Essen whom Joker killed in No Man's Land. Ironically Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) is the daughter of Roger and Thelma Gordon who are Jim's brother making Batgirl his niece.
  But it is also hinted that Gordon had an affair with Thelma in Batman Confidential which might hint that Barbs is actually his daughter.

  thanks for the enlightenment. So the Barbara Gordon Batgirl is Jim Gordon's niece. And In this interview with Gary Oldman. I think he doesn't want any Robin and Batgirl to appear in the subsequent sequels of the Nolan series.

  I personally think it'd be a mistake to have a comedian portray the Joker. If you look at the three previous actors who have taken on the role (Ledger, Nicholson, Romero), none of them were particularly reknowned for their comedic talent. Remember that back in 1989, Nicholson's only memorable comedy was "Terms of Endearment." Meanwhile, the closest Ledger has ever come to doing a comedy was "10 Things I Hate About You." Romero, finally, was known as the "Latin lover" back in the 60's.

  I personally think Paul Bettany would be an interesting choice, as mentioned already above. Adrien Brody would be interesting to see too, if only to help him slough off the Oscar curse.

  i go for zoey deschannel for catwoman.. the ventriloquist being the next batman foe really makes sense because main part of the batman begins and dark knight features the mob as the big antagonist force in gotham. as for grundy... well i just like grundy. croc would be a good choice but i think spidey had a run with the lizard man too...
