Now a Church spokesman says all those involved, including the child's mother and the doctors, are to be excommunicated.
another reason to hate the church.

A more important question for the church would be:

    What is the lesser evil?

Killing both fetuses or killing both fetuses AND the under-age mother?

The problem with the church is that they just reject the concept for the purpose of rejecting the concept - never considering that the situation is not always based on strict black and white.

The church stated that the pregnancy should have been carried full term and that the girl should have just had a c-section to deliver them - their response to the assessment that the girl's health was endangered by the pregnancy - but they failed to see the reasons why the pregnancy was really deemed a risk:

    1. She was only 80 pounds, and her uterus and pelvis were under-developed.

    2. She was carrying twins - her body cannot sustain them properly to full term.

I have always found it sad when people would rather use blind ideology over objective reasoning and when they put more value on dogma rather than on people's lives.

Better yet, leave it all behind.

they can still appeal to pope palpatine.... i mean he did reinstate four excommunicated bishops a while ago, including one that believes santa claus exists but the holocaust does not.
