It was 6:03 PM in my watch. I was waiting for 7:30 PM to come. The labor law obliges me to stay at work for at least eight hours. And unfortunately clubbing the night before made me arrived at work late.
It was a lazy day at the faculty room. Almost everyone except the Anatomy teachers have already left the school. I was killing some time by playing with Virtual DJ in my laptop when I received an SMS.
"Sir, stil n d fculty?"
"Yep Ms Chua. Wat cn i do for u?"
"Im anxious bowt d seminar."
"Dont b. Evrytng wil b alryt."
"I got here d materials 4 ur lecture. Ill drop them 2 u der."
"k."
After a few minutes, Charlene arrived in the faculty room with the materials for the seminar that she's hosting next week. I noticed that she has with her a large bag.
"Maglalayas ka ba," I asked her innocently.
"Paano nyo nalaman?"
She told me her plan. She came from a traditional chinese family and she was arranged to get married to some chinese lawyer who is almost 10 years older than her after her graduation. After a lengthy conversation with her, I looked at my watch. It's already almost nine in the evening.
"I'm starving. You wanna grab something to eat?"
"Sir I still have to plan the seminar tonight. Kain nalang tayo sa hotel."
"..."
"..."
"What did you say?"
"I'm staying in a hotel for a few days now. Hindi kasi ako makapagisip sa bahay."
"Ah ok. See you tomorrow then."
I left her in the school lobby and went to the electronic time registry in our school. I'm really starving so
I went to a nearby restaurant to grab something to eat. After indulging to a half chicken barbecque and
bagoong rice, my mobile phone beeped. What I read made me ordered a 3 bottles of Red Horse.
"Im in Discovery at 306. Pls come."
It was from Charlene. My mind was racing. I got an invite from a gorgeous chinese girl. As I gulped my first bottle of Red Horse, I laid the scenario in my mind. One problematic hot chick in a discreet location. What are the odds of getting caught or Charlene turning me in? Hmmmm. Another bottle of Red Horse. If I get caught, I'll lose my job, my licence, my career, my future. If I get away with this, I just nailed one of the ridiculously cute chinitas I've met. Hmmmm. Last bottle of Red Horse. Thirty years from now, which will I regret: screwing her or passing this golden opportunity. If I were in an anime, my nose should be bleeding right now.
I look in my watch. It's 11 PM. I paid my bill and called a cab. As I sat, the driver asked me where will I be going.
"Manong sa Discovery." I cursed myself and smiled.

i think sandman is a nurse.. so maybe he's a clinical instructor. since the student is preparing for a seminar that she or her group will be hosting, most probably,charlene is a fourth year nursing student.. a chinita in a nursing uniform with silk stockings..
